Methods: A total of 78 patients with functional dyspepsia admitted to Zhanyi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between August and October 2024 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 39 cases in each group. The control group was treated with mosapride, the dose was 5mg/ time, 3 times a day; The study group took Banxia Xiexin Decoction, decocted and taken twice daily in the morning and evening. Both groups were treated for 2 consecutive courses of 4 weeks each. The efficacy was evaluated by comparing treatment outcomes, clinical symptom scores, and plasma motilin levels.
Results
2
The study group demonstrated significant superiority over the control group in improving the effective treatment rate (92.3% vs. 79.5%), reducing clinical symptom scores, and elevating plasma motilin levels (
P
<
0.05). The study group particularly excelled in alleviating symptoms such as epigastric burning sensation, belching, and epigastric pain.
Conclusion
2
Banxia Xiexin Decoction shows significant advantages in the treatment of functional dyspepsia, which not only can effectively relieve symptoms and restore normal gastrointestinal function, but also shows high safety and low incidence of adverse reactions.
Objective
2
To evaluate the efficacy of Banxia Xiexin Decoction in patients with functional dyspepsia and to explore its mechanism of action.
