摘要:Since ancient times, the discipline of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has emphasized conveying the "Dao" through "technique", and medical colleges have long aimed to cultivate master physicians with superb skill and sincerity ("da yi jing cheng"). Fostering medical students' sense of life meaning rooted in "family, nation and the world" ("jia guo tian xia") is an objective requirement for advancing the project of fostering virtue through education. From four dimensions—cognition, affection, volition and action, this paper deconstructs the concept of patriotic sentiment as the worldview of "self-cultivation, family regulation, state governance, bringing peace to all under heaven" ("xiu qi zhi ping"), the benevolence of "empthy with others" ("tui ji ji ren"), the resilience of "striving continuously to strengthen himself" ("zi qiang bu xi"), and the initiative of "benefiting the whole world" ("jian ji tian xia"), which provides a localized interpretation of the value and connotation of the sense of life meaning for medical students. In accordance with the talent cultivation needs of medical colleges, this paper explores practical pathways for integrating patriotic sentiment into the cultivation of medical students' sense of life meaning from four aspects: the integrated development of life education and professional education for medical students, the synergistic development of life education and daily ideological-political education, the aligned development of life education and family education, and the coordinated development of life education and healthcare social resources. It provides ideas and methods for cultivating outstanding doctors with "skill, sincerity, benevolence and harmony" ("jing cheng ren he"), as well as new generations responsible for national rejuvenation.

摘要:The "traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) pharmacology" is often regarded as the exclusive category of modern research on TCM. Tracing back in history, the terminological precursor "yaoli (药理)" was already mentioned in Commentary on the Classic of Materia Medica. Through the refinement and supplementation of medical scholars of successive dynasties, a systematic pharmacological framework for TCM was established, termed "Bencao Pharmacology" (Pharmacology of Chinese Herbal Medicine). In parallel with the evolution of Chinese civilization and sociocultural thought, this intellectual tradition developed through four paradigmatic stages: a nascent stage emphasizing property-driven pharmacodynamics; an institutional stage anchored in the doctrine of symbolic analogy; a mature stage characterized by holistic therapeutic reasoning; and a transformative stage oriented toward component-based analysis. Conceived as such, Bencao Pharmacology constitutes a clinical discipline deeply rooted in classical Chinese metaphysical frameworks and medical epistemology. It integrates botanical provenance, inherent properties, therapeutic functions, and material composition into a multidimensional cartography of efficacy and indication. Through the holistic framework of Bencao Pharmacology, the integration of modern multi-angle research results can be realized, bridging chemical components and therapeutic effects in modern studies. It enables modern research to identify the active ingredients of Chinese medicine more accurately, explores the complex relationship between the components and the efficacy of Chinese medicine in depth, and provides a comprehensive and in-depth perspective for the interpretation of drugs from a modern perspective, and ultimately serves clinical practice.

摘要:Yuebi Decoction, which is effective in treating edema, has been included in the Catalogue of Ancient Classic Prescriptions (Second Batch). Using bibliometric methods, this research systematically examines 127 documented instances of Yuebi Decoction across 27 ancient books, and analyzes its historical evolution, drug composition, drug dosage, processing methods, preparation and decoction techniques, as well as its ancient and modern applications. Based on textual research, the modern recommended dosage and preparation method for Yuebi Decoction are as follows: Ephedra 82.8 g, Gypsum 110 g, Fresh Ginger 41.4 g, Glycyrrhiza 27.6 g, and Jujube 45 g. The decoction is prepared with 1 200 mL of water by first boiling Ephedra until ebullition, skimming off the foam, then adding the other four herbs and decocting to 600 mL. The recommended administration is to warmly take 200 mL each time, with 1 to 3 times daily, adjusted flexibly according to clinical needs, with discontinuation upon symptom resolution. Yuebi Decoction was first documented in the Synopsis of Prescriptions of Golden Chamber composed by Zhang Zhongjing from the Han Dynasty. It has the functions of dispelling wind to release the exterior syndrome, sweating, and promoting urination, and is mainly used to treat syndrome of wind edema with heat. Later physicians mostly follow Zhang Zhongjing's theories, and expand its use to treat wind-obstruction and foot-weakness. Modern clinical studies show that Yuebi Decoction is mostly used to treat glomerulonephritis and other urinary system diseases, rheumatic arthritis and other rheumatic immune system diseases. Based on the five core principles of quality marker evaluation, the ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, 6-gingerol, glycyrrhizic acid, and glycyrrhetinic acid are proposed as the quality markers for Yuebi Decoction.

摘要:Sinapis Semen is a traditional Chinese medicinal material that can be taken orally or applied externally. By reviewing materia medica prescription records, medical classics and relevant literatures, this study sorted out the historical evolution and development of the processing methods of Sinapis Semen, analyzed and summarized the different processing methods and processing purposes, and made an outlook on the inheritance of the ancient processing methods and the processing connotation of Sinapis Semen, with a view to providing an important literature basis and theoretical support for the study of modern processing methods and processing mechanism.
