Role of Du meridian in treatment of Parkinson’s disease from spinal cord stimulation
Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a kind of neurodegenerative disease, which cannot be cured at present. In recent years, some foreign studies have applied spinal cord stimulation (SCS) to treat the disease, which is consistent with the idea of Du meridian acupuncture treatment of traditional Chinese medicine. Through systematically reviewing the main studies of SCS in the treatment of PD, its mechanisms were analyzed. Meanwhile, through analyzing the relationship among Du meridian, yang qi, brain and PD, this paper discusses the theoretical basis of treating PD from Du meridian. Then, from the perspective of SCS, this paper analyzes the treatment of PD from Du meridian of traditional Chinese medicine, in order to obtain a better therapy method in clinic.
